08 ACERT Update  
This course covers the changes in the ACERT technology of the 08 product
Air Conditioning  
This class focuses on the principals of air conditioning, refrigerant cycle and control systems. In addition, the technician will learn how to properly recover and charge an A/C system. Technicians will also be required to take the EPA 609 Certification Test.
Basic Electricity  
Used as a prerequisite for the electronic engine course. Individuals who have limited or little knowledge of electricity are urged to attend this class. The class covers basic electrical principals and circuit theory.
Basic Engine  
This course is designed to teach technicians the operation and proper methods of disassembly, inspection and building of diesel engines.
Chassis  
The chassis class is designed to train the technician in the operation, service and repair of front and rear suspensions, air and hydraulic brakes, steering, and other chassis and drive train components.
Electrical/Electronic  
Technicians will learn the fundamentals of electrical and electronic control system used on HD trucks. They will also become familiar with various manufactures diagnostic software, reading schematics, digital multimeters and component testing.
Engine Electronics  
Designed for experienced mechanics who are looking to develop the skills necessary to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose electronic engines.
Engine Familiarization  
For individuals who are looking for a basic understanding of diesel engine operation and fuel systems, components and perform valve adjustments and injector timing.
Foundation Brakes/Air System  
This course teaches technicians how to properly service and repair the foundation brake and air system on trucks. Technicians who complete this course will meet FMSCR 396 (Brake Inspector Qualification).
Fuel Systems  
This course focuses on the operation, maintenance, tune-up and troubleshooting of the most widely used mechanical and electronic fuel systems in the diesel industry.
Hydraulic Fundamentals  
This course is designed to teach basic hydraulic fundamentals. Technicians will learn to identify and state the function of various valves, pumps and other hydraulic components. They will also be able to identify ISO hydraulic symbols, fluid flow, pressure changes and determine the operation of various hydraulic circuits.
Multimeter Familiarization  
Technician will learn about the various features, settings and accessories of DMM. They will use this service tool to perform various tests for troubleshooting electrical components and circuits.
Preventative Maintenance  
Developed to meet the needs of technicians for fleets and dealers or individuals. This course is designed to teach technicians how to effectively perform PMs to reduce fleet maintenance.
Transport Refrigeration  
To provide the technician with the skills to service and repair microprocessor controlled truck and trailer refrigeration systems common to the transportation industry.
 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
These training courses are offered to Caterpillar authorized On-Highway Service Dealers and On-Highway Division customers.

COURSE PREREQUISITES
Students attending class should have one year experience with engine repairs; other prerequisites may apply for specific courses. Contact Steve Brooman, Corporate Training Manager, at (732) 885-3247 for information.

REGISTRATION, TUITION & ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Email our training staff or call us at (732) 885-5555 between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Registration fee for evening courses $100.00 per student.

PREPAYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Foley, Incorporated must receive payment, in full, ten days prior to class start date. Training course enrollment confirmation will be provided to students via letter and/or email.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Students will be working in an "industrial environment" during the "hands-on" section of the course. As such, all students will be expected to comply with Federal, State, Local and Foley, Incorporated safety standards.

The following personal protective equipment will be required while participating in training at any of our facilities and will be supplied by the student:

Safety Glasses
Hearing Protection
Long Trousers
Safety Shoes/Steel Toe

Clothing may become soiled during 'hands-on' activity. Please dress appropriately.

CLASSROOM MATERIALS
Foley, Incorporated will provide classroom training materials based on specific course content. Additional material fees may apply.

TRAINING SCHEDULE CHANGES/CANCELLATIONS
Foley, Incorporated reserves the right to re-schedule and/or cancel any classes as necessary. Students will be notified accordingly.

REFUND POLICY
Tuition will be refunded, in full, if cancellation notice is received fifteen (15) days prior to the class start date. Tuition will not be refunded if a student fails to attend the class as registered.
